Early Intervention - Karoban

Eurella Community House

Karobran provides a person centred program for children with a diagnosis of a delay or special need from birth to 5 years.

Children attend with a parent/carer for a 2 hour session once per week. Children are placed in the group appropriate to their age and stage of development. Group sizes are a maximum ten children.

The focus of the program is to assist your child in developing skills in the areas of communication, social skills, play and education. The child’s Individual Program within the Group Program is based on their strengths, needs and the priorities and concerns of the parent.

Our program utilises Gross Motor and Fine Motor activities, Pretend Play and Music Circles with an emphasis on Communication in each activity.

The benefit of attending with your child is that you will learn many activities and techniques to use at home, at the same time as you are meeting other parents with similar concerns and interests.

Karobran has an extensive parent reference and resource library and a toy library.

MyTime, a local support group for parents and carers of young children with a disability or chronic medical condition, is run weekly at Karobran.
